This powdered enamel comes in a jar and is non-toxic and food-safe. Experiment with mixing small amounts of enamel with the CFE glass medium (available in this section) until you get a "heavy cream" consistency. Artist Mark Hufford dips a thin liner brush into the mixture and holds the brush vertically over the paint mixture and counts to four slowly. By "4," one drop should fall from the brush. Add more medium or more powder until you get that thickness. Then begin filling in an area on your glass with the liner brush. You don't want to leave brushstrokes. Instead, you want to create an unbroken "pool" of paint that you slowly spread to cover the glass. To mix colors, place pools of color side by side and swirl back and forth through them until the colors are blended--or, leave them marbelized if you wish. Colors mature to a glossy, opaque finish when you fire your dried piece to 1376-1550 degrees F. Outline and detail paints are also available in this section.
